About Ruth Omoregie

Ruth is a highly regarded Associate Solicitor in the Family and Relationships department and is based in our London Bridge Office.

Ruth has significant experience advising on a broad range of complex private family law matters, with particular focus on high-conflict children disputes and international child abduction cases. Ruth is particularly skilled in handling cases requiring careful strategic planning and urgent court applications, including matters under the Hague Convention. Ruth also manages cases involving allegations of domestic abuse, parental alienation, coercive and controlling behaviour, relocation and jurisdiction disputes. She has experience representing clients at all stages of Children Act proceedings, including navigating proceedings before the High Court.

Ruth has significant experience with divorce and complex financial remedy proceedings. She often assists the partners in handling their High-Net-Worth to Ultra-High-Net-Worth work and has sound knowledge and experience of such cases. Ruth also handles High-Net-Worth cases of her own and has experience working closely with leading counsel on complex matters. Her expertise also includes Part III proceedings.

In addition to her technical capabilities, Ruth’s case management skills are particularly valued, including her ability to manage large volumes of disclosure and maintain clear strategic direction throughout proceedings. She shows strong commercial awareness in advising clients on litigation risk, costs proportionality and pragmatic settlement options.

Ruth is a strong negotiator and is also skilled at drafting agreements and orders on matters concluded outside of court proceedings. Her drafting experience also extends to drafting Cohabitation Agreements.

Ruth is an active member of Resolution, a trusted community of family justice professionals who work with families and individuals to resolve family issues in a constructive way.

Ruth is committed to improving access to justice through her volunteer and pro bono work and offers her legal expertise to support vulnerable individuals. She volunteers with the National Centre for Domestic Violence (NCDV), Hourglass and Both Parents Matter. Ruth is also a panel member of Advicenow, where she helps provide accessible and affordable legal advice. Her commitment to public service and improving access to justice is further reflected in her published works in Lexis Nexis, New Law Journal, Lexology, The Review and the Anthony Gold website.
