About Rooshan Saeed

Rooshan is a Solicitor in the Housing Department team at Anthony Gold, based in our London Bridge Office.

She works on a wide range of property disputes, with a particular focus on residential landlord and tenant matters. Her experience includes complex possession claims, disrepair and deposit disputes, litigation involving Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs), Rent Repayment Order (RRO) applications, financial penalties, and cases involving landlords facing criminal prosecution.

Rooshan acts for landlords, tenants, and housing associations across a broad spectrum of contentious housing matters. She regularly undertakes advocacy and represents clients in court, including representing both landlords and tenants in possession hearings, injunction hearings on behalf of both landlords and tenants, and interlocutory hearings. These include a wide range of applications such as applications to enforce court judgments and settlement agreements, set aside or vary orders, as well as directions and allocation hearings. Acting for both landlords and tenants’ gives her a balanced perspective and a clear understanding of the arguments on each side, which she uses to anticipate issues and strengthen her clients’ position.

She has also worked alongside partners and other solicitors on complex group action claims relating to defective premises.

Before qualifying as a Solicitor, Rooshan gained extensive experience over more than three years working as a paralegal at Anthony Gold and two national Legal 500 firms, gaining experience in Housing Law in cases involving housing disrepair, judicial review, homelessness, suitability reviews and defending possession proceedings. She also gained experience in personal immigration law where her practice included representing clients in case management review hearings in the First-tier Tribunal (IAC).

Rooshan often represents clients of the Housing and Property Disputes team in court. In addition to being a qualified solicitor she has also been called to the Bar of England and Wales by The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in 2021 after she completed the LLM Legal Practice (Bar) Course from BPP University. Prior to this, she completed her Bachelor of Laws from SOAS, University of London with 1st Class Honours in 2020.
