Anthony Gold Solicitors welcome Holly Miéville-Hawkins as New Partner in the Court of Protection Team

Anthony Gold is delighted to announce that Holly Miéville-Hawkins has joined the firm as a non-member Partner in the Court of Protection (COP) team. She joins a specialist department led by David Wedgwood and Alexandra Knipe and based out of the London Bridge and Streatham offices.
Holly brings almost 15 years of expertise in COP matters, having always specialised in this complex area of law. She joins from Michelmores LLP, where she was Head of Mental Capacity.
Recognised in Chambers and The Legal 500 for her work, Holly’s appointment represents a significant step forward in the firm’s offering to help vulnerable individuals and their families. Her practice focuses on complex finance and property matters, in the UK and internationally, including the appointment of deputies and attorneys and welfare disputes.
Joining Anthony Gold on 10 March 2025, Holly’s arrival enhances the firm’s already strong market profile as a leader in COP work. Her expertise will further develop Anthony Gold’s ability to meet the needs of vulnerable clients requiring specialist advice around the capacity to make critical decisions; from buying and selling property, litigating, getting married or divorced, to making a will and gifting. She is passionate about protecting vulnerable individuals from becoming victims of financial abuse.
Holly’s extensive qualifications include a full STEP diploma, the professional body for trust and estate practitioners, and the Older Client Care in Practice qualification from the Association of Lifetime Lawyers. She is a founding member of the practitioner group that established the Mediation in the Court of Protection pilot scheme and a committee member, and former Deputy Chair of the Mental Capacity Special Interest Group, for STEP.
She has written many articles for STEP and was heavily involved in the recent launch of its ‘Spot the Signs’ campaign, which highlights the warning signs of financial abuse to help protect those at risk. She has also been published across various other professional media outlets, including Legal Futures and The Law Society.
