An apology
An apology
On Monday 11 December, we were unfortunate victims of a cyberattack on a handful of our email addresses, which were then used to send phishing emails to some of our contacts.
We acted swiftly to close down the affected email addresses and mitigate the situation, and we are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the cause of the security breach.
We should like to apologise to anyone affected by this and have suggested that they change their passwords at the earliest opportunity if they opened the attachment and entered information.
Since Tuesday 12 December, we are not aware of any bogus emails being sent from our servers. However, we are aware of subsequent incidences of ‘spoofing’, whereby fraudsters are spoof mailing individuals with emails that purport to be from Anthony Gold, but which are not.
We continue to review our data security practices to ensure the security of our data.
If you have been affected, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience or confusion caused.
Kind regards
David Marshall
