Looking for information about acquired brain injury?

Headway – the Brain Injury Association award-winning booklets
Acquiring a brain injury can be very confusing and daunting. Not just for the person who has suffered but for family members and friends.   More of us these days use the internet to research and who hasn’t used “Dr. Google” for a bit of  self-diagnosis?
It’s important when looking at forums or blogs to appreciate that quite often people only turn to their computer when they have had a bad experience whether it be with a particular drug, doctor, operation, plumber or electrician.  In my experience, it’s not very often that people sit down to write positive reviews or experiences.   Whilst some blogs or websites do have the useful information it can be hard piecing it all together.
Headway the Brain Injury Association  produce an excellent series of award-winning booklets and fact sheets containing information and advice for those living with acquired brain injury.
For the first time, they are now available free to download from the charity’s new information library. Paper copies can still be purchased for £3.50 each through the online shop. Click here.
Headway East London’s revamped supper clubs sponsored by Anthony Gold Solicitors are now in full swing. So much so that June’s supper club sold out very quickly.  If you’re not in time for these you’ll need to get in quickly for July’s tickets as soon as they go on sale.
As well as being a lovely evening, with guaranteed delicious food (three courses for only £15 a person) the supper clubs are an excellent way to support Headway East London to raise awareness about what it’s like living with an acquired brain injury.
Description
After a successful inauguration in April, Headway EATS returns for its second event in June!
With a hearty three-course meal cooked and served by Headway members, this night is designed to give attendees a flavour of Headway East London and break down barriers between brain injury survivors and members of the public. Tickets are ÂŁ15.
We will not be serving alcohol but please feel free to bring your own.
The event is kindly sponsored by Anthony Gold, meaning all money from ticket sales will be supporting Headway East London’s work with brain injury survivors.
