Anthony Gold’s responsible business programme focuses on supporting our local communities and national organisations aligned with the work we do, pro bono and volunteering, and reducing environmental impact.
If you would like any further information on our responsible business programme, please contact our Responsible Business partners Sarah Hughes or Fiona Lyon.
We run a charity of the year programme every 2 years, partnering with a charity nominated and chosen by our staff.
Charity Begins at Home is our current charity of the year until April 2025. The charity provides food, clothes, life essentials, and support to people in need in the UK, particularly those who are homeless and surviving on the street, with the help of over 10,000 individual volunteers and corporate partnerships such as ours.
We also encourage and support our staff in a range of other fundraising activities aligned with the firm’s core beliefs and values, including the London Legal Support Trust, and make in kind donations providing charities with items they need most.
We sit on the Team London Bridge Board supporting investment into the community and infrastructure of the London Borough of Southwark.
We offer up to 2 days paid annual volunteer leave for every staff member.
We also offer pro-bono work, where no other funding is available, on a case-by-case basis. Our pro-bono work includes volunteering at local advice centres and national organisations, including Age UK, Families Need Fathers, and the National Centre for Domestic Violence (NCDV).
We are committed to minimising the impact of our business activities on the environment. We use carbon footprint tools to reduce our carbon footprint across our offices, as part of the Team London Bridge Zero Carbon project and we are members of the Legal Sustainability Alliance.
