Smart, genuine, and understanding. Anyone who speaks to Sarah is immediately struck by how she embodies these qualities. And it is not just words. As well as being a partner in the family law department, Sarah is the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partner at Anthony Gold, responsible for our CSR policies and procedures to ensure the firm operates as a responsible business.
Having trained at Anthony Gold, Sarah chose to specialise in family law over 14 years ago. Her work largely involves a mix of complex financial settlement cases and child arrangement matters during or following a divorce or separation. She advises and represents clients who are focused on protecting their wealth as well as those who are financially weaker and who need a robust financial settlement to build a future.
Sarah has always been attracted to family law work as it involves helping real people with real lives at a time when their lives are at a crossroads. She is a trained Collaborative Lawyer and a committed member of Resolution with specialist accreditations in complex finance and children matters. This means she tenaciously works to achieve a financial settlement amicably, using round-table negotiation and mediation as opposed to litigation, where possible, but is not afraid to litigate where necessary. When it comes to children matters, her focus is primarily on the wellbeing and needs of the child.
Outside of the office, Sarah is actively involved in volunteering and charity work. She coordinates Anthony Gold’s responsible business and fundraising events and helps manage the firms’ charity of the year programme. Sarah is also the firms’ liaison for the London Legal Support Trust, an organisation which supports access to justice. She organises the firm’s annual participation in their Great Legal Bake and London Legal Walk, and ran the London Marathon for the London Legal Support Trust in 2017.
