It is a poignant time for many people. Her unwavering commitment and dedication will always be remembered.

The state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II will take place on Monday 19 September at 11:00 at Westminster Abbey, ending an official 10-day period of mourning.

The day of the funeral has been declared a bank holiday here in the UK to allow individuals, businesses and other organisations to pay their respects to Her Majesty and commemorate the Queen’s long reign. Anthony Gold has decided to close for the day as a mark of respect.
