Recent successes include:

• £38million (on a lump sum basis) for a child who sustained spinal injuries and a severe traumatic brain injury in a road traffic accident. Jackie obtained interim payments during the lifetime of the litigation exceeding £4m enabling her client to move back to living in the community with their family, allowing for the purchase of a property and ensuring that an appropriate care regime was in place before resolution of the claim. The claim settled on a lump sum/periodical payment basis and is thought to be one of the highest settlements achieved for an injured person to date.
• £6.85 million for a 23-year-old who suffered a traumatic brain injury in a road traffic incident as a young child. Jackie obtained interim payments of £475,000 in less than 2 years, which enabled the client to move from her childhood home into supported independent living with a team made up of a case manager, a neuropsychologist, speech and language therapist, an occupational therapist and support workers. At the approval hearing, Jackie was specifically mentioned by the approving Judge for the work she had undertaken in turning the claim around for the client.
• £5.528million for a 28-year-old who suffered a traumatic brain injury in a road a traffic accident. Jackie resolved liability quickly and secured interim funding to enable the client to move from the family home to independent living with a rehabilitation and support team.
