About Amanda Hopkins

Amanda is a Partner who specialises in catastrophic personal injury claims which have led to life changing injuries. Amanda has considerable proficiency and skill in advising and representing clients with brain injury, complex orthopaedic injuries, amputations and psychiatric injury.    Amanda also has a specialism in representing dependents in fatal accident claims.

She is known for her good working relationships with Defendant solicitors and insurers to fully engage in the rehabilitation process, securing interim payments to ensure the best recovery for her clients is achieved.  She is particularly known for her skills in bringing clarity of the litigation process to vulnerable clients, including those who are neuro-diverse, lack or have borderline/fluctuating capacity or are vulnerable due to age.

Within the business, Amanda is the People Partner having responsibility and oversight of the firm’s HR function and sits on the firm’s Operations Board.   Amanda is also the firm’s Training Principal and has a key role in creating and implementing the training and development programme for all employees and Partners.

In addition to her client focussed work, Amanda is a main contributor to Kemp and Kemp – Law, Practice and Procedure including the chapter concerning Mental Capacity which complements her work with vulnerable clients.  Amanda is in the process of updating the Bloomsbury publication of Litigating Psychiatric Injuries, due for publication in 2025. Amanda also delivers a comprehensive external training course to expert witnesses through Bond Solon, with Department Head, Jackie Spinks.
