A qualified member of our private client team and an Associate Solicitor, Umar is based in our London Bridge office. He engages in a broad caseload, assisting with Will-drafting, preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney and the administration of testate and intestate estates.
Having worked at Anthony Gold since 2017, Umar finds his private client practice immensely rewarding. Many of his clients have been through testing times, having recently lost family members or friends and therefore require a lot of support – something he is more than happy to give. He also finds satisfaction in drafting Wills – the instrument that provides his clients with the opportunity for their voices to be heard after their death.
Umar prides himself on being completely honest with clients. He brings a calm approach to his work and always responds promptly to client calls and emails. He avoids legalese and tries his best to make the law as simple as possible, eliminating any chance of his clients’ final intentions being misinterpreted or challenged.
Umar graduated from the University of Warwick in 2015 with an upper second-class degree in Law. He then obtained a Distinction in his LLM LPC from the University of Law in 2017.
Umar has a strong social conscience. Before joining Anthony Gold, he spent time volunteering with several charities including Restless Beings, i-Probono, and Team-Up, as well as co-founding the charity research organisation Supply Without Chains, which campaigned for a more stringent Modern Slavery law before the Royal Assent of the Modern Slavery Act in March 2015.
