About Loraine Davenport

Loraine has been a family solicitor for over 2 decades and is recommended not only for the results she achieves but also for her empathy and sound judgment. It is central to her ethos that she is promoting balance and proportionality. She brings a learned objectivity to every case, informed by the law and focused on her clients’ needs.

Loraine is a keen advocate but believes in the Resolution Code of Practice and that court should always be a last resort. She prioritises out-of-court dispute resolution as it is often more cost-effective and beneficial for her clients’ wellbeing.

Loraine’s practice is predominantly high net worth ancillary relief including cases involving complex company and trust issues and complex children including surrogacy and relocation She is a Resolution accredited specialist and trained as a collaborative lawyer in 2005. Since then, she has successfully concluded dozens of collaborative cases.

Loraine is also now trained as a Resolution Together practitioner, enabling her to advise separating couples jointly when appropriate. . Additionally, she is a trained mediator including hybrid mediation. The range of skills that Loraine brings to any case help her to identify and advise as to the best process and strategy to achieve the best outcome for her clients. Her approach is person-focused, centred on getting her clients through this very difficult period of their life with the help of other professionals so that they can see there is light at the end of the tunnel.
