Grainne is a Partner in the Court of Protection team and a Joint Head of the Trust and Estates department based in the London Bridge office. With over 20 years’ experience, she is a specialist in non-contentious Court of Protection matters, including deputyships for people who become mentally incapacitated through illness or personal injury.
As someone who cares deeply about making a difference in people’s lives, Grainne manages personal injury trusts for both adults and children and deals with multi-jurisdictional health and welfare matters. Grainne also completes annual reports, personal tax returns, and makes associated applications to the Court. She also liaises with local authorities, care agencies, and medical professionals on behalf of her clients.
Grainne focuses on the human element of her work and to this end is a person her clients feel they can come to for reassurance. She is tenacious in getting to know her clients and their families and making sure they feel confident that she is available to provide support and guidance in both difficult and joyful times. Needless to say, her clients’ value this and Grainne enjoys long-term relationships with them.
By working with other departments in the firm, such as property, personal injury and Wills and estates, Grainne provides a truly holistic service that mitigates much of the stress associated with Court of Protection matters.
