How can you bring communities together to make changes? A conversation with heads of Residents’ Associations and Community Organisers

The event will take place online via Zoom

Join us for an engaging conversation with heads of Residents’ Associations and Community Organisers focused on bringing communities together to effect meaningful change. This event invites all participants to share their insights and experiences, fostering an open dialogue about the challenges facing our estates such as disrepair, anti-social behaviour, mismanaged building works, and the need for adaptations for residents with disabilities.

We will introduce our speakers and provide a platform for everyone to contribute by raising their hands. The discussion will revolve around practical solutions to the problems we encounter in our communities.

Key questions include:

  • How can we create a healthy and active Residents’ Association that encourages participation?
  • What role does the media play in amplifying our voices?
  • How do we effectively engage with landlords’ representatives during meetings?
  • What strategies can we implement for collective complaints on behalf of the Tenants’ and Residents’ Association?
  • When is legal action appropriate, and how can we navigate Freedom of Information and Data Protection requests?
  • What additional initiatives, like food co-ops or toy libraries, can enhance our estates?

Together, let’s explore innovative ways to improve our living environments and strengthen community ties.
