Event Details

Rhys Taylor, 36 Group Family and David Emmerson, Anthony Gold Solicitors will present on ‘Arbitration within a mediation and collaborative law setting’. The talk will focus on the procedures and practices by which arbitration in either full or short form could be incorporated within an existing mediation or collaborative practice settings. Tips and suggestions for how arbitration might be helpful when parties become stuck in mediation and collaborative cases, how to prepare documentation and information for the arbitrator. How the arbitration can blend into the process and how to prepare clients for the process.

Rhys Taylor 36 Group Family – Rhys is a specialist financial remedy and property barrister with extensive experience as a mediator and as an arbitrator. He is a member of the Family Procedure Rule Committee and played a key role in the recent amendments to Part 3 and the focus on non-court dispute resolution. He sits as a part time family recorder and often acts a neutral evaluator in private FDRs. He also knows a bit about pensions.

David Emmerson –  David is a qualified hybrid-trained mediator and collaborative practitioner as well as a part time district judge with a specialisation in financial remedy and children proceedings.
