Proud winners of “Clinical Negligence Team of the Year” Award

We are delighted to announce that we have, for the second year running, been awarded the prestigious “Clinical Negligence Team of the Year” award at the Personal Injury Awards 2023.

The awards, presented by Claims Media in association with Blume, provide a unique opportunity to highlight and celebrate the excellence of individuals and organisations working in the personal injury and medical claims sector. Their aim is to identify high standards of practice and inspire others by recognising the achievements of the sector’s finest.

The “Clinical Negligence Team of the Year” category is open to law firms and teams working on clinical negligence cases and judged by an independent panel of experts.

The judges said they were impressed with the way we were able to demonstrate how our expertise in complex cases has consistently achieved high-value settlements for our clients.

Our lawyers are encouraged to continually build their expertise.  Four of our partners have medical backgrounds: two are qualified doctors, one a former psychiatric nurse and one is a former nurse. The cases we handle often involve numerous complex medical specialities such as orthopaedics, cardiology, hepatology and endocrinology.

In the wider community, we are active members of AvMA (Action against Medical Accidents),  a UK charity for patient safety and justice; APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers). One of our partners is an accredited member of the AvMA specialist legal panel and two of our partners are accredited specialists on The Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Panel.

Members of the team regularly speak at conferences, provide training and contribute to professional journals.

We are highly regarded by the third parties we work with, including case managers, experts and barristers, and we have excellent individual and team rankings in the legal directories.

This year’s awards ceremony was a night to remember, with the talented comedian and medical doctor Paul Sinha hosting and a record number of outstanding entries. The event took place on 23 November 2023 at the Hilton Deansgate in Manchester.

This is the second year in a row we have been winners of the “Clinical Negligence Team of the Year” accolade. Last year, one of our most distinguished and experienced partners, Jenny Kennedy, also won “Catastrophic Injury Lawyer of the Year”.
