Court of Protection (COP) Conversations Podcast – Care funding in the community

Anthony Gold Solicitors are delighted to announce that the fourth episode of our Court of Protection Conversations series is now live.
On Friday 4th February 2021, the “COP Conversations: Care funding in the community” podcast episode went live. Host, Partner and joint Head of Court of Protection, Alexandra Knipe was joined by guest speaker Cate Searle. Cate is a community care lawyer with 21 years’ experience in assisting clients to resolve disputes with health and social services about care, support and funding.
Cate has a vast amount of experience of working within the health and social care setting and has used her expertise as a solicitor to set up her firm, Martin Searle Solicitors, in 2004.
This episode sees Alexandra and Cate discuss the topics of; funding that is available to vulnerable individuals, funding contributions, the interplay between state funding and Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence awards. The episode also touches on topics of how the Coronavirus pandemic has impacted assessments for social care.
Cate uses clear case examples alongside her advice on the best practice to help maximise the chances of vulnerable individuals obtaining a maximum award.
