He was promoted to Finance Director in 2000, managing the business and undertaking strategic planning and organic and acquisitive growth in conjunction with the Partners, as well as heading up a finance team of six.

He took an equity share in the business in 2009 and qualified in 1986 and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Prior to joining Anthony Gold he worked within the accountancy profession specialising in audit and taxation.

Rafiq Ahmad retired as a Partner at Anthony Gold in April 2023 and is now working with the firm as a Financial Consultant.
