As well as having demanding jobs, to say the least, the personal injury team here at Anthony Gold definitely could not be considered to regard their role in a transactional light.

Even with heavy caseloads of complex injury matters, our team will regularly be found fundraising, or contributing by considered actions to the charities we work alongside.

In May 2021 solicitor Hema Vekaria raised over £1000 for Headway, and wrote about her reasons for getting involved.

Hema has also shared candidly about her own experiences following a spinal cord injury in a blog for the Anthony Gold website. Hema suffered a spinal cord injury which resulted in her losing sensation in her legs and experiencing paralysis to that leg. Her direct personal knowledge of complex injuries puts her in a unique position of understanding with her own clients, as she is able to relate to them authentically.

In November 2021 Partner Sana Bibi and solicitor Asad Amin helped raise over £800 for the Spinal Injuries Association. Participating in the charity’s Christmas fundraiser, they handed out mince pies and chocolate treats while speaking with passers-by along the Thames, highlighting and bringing awareness to the plight of those with spinal injuries.

Furthermore, our team of expert solicitors will regularly do their best to support their peers in the legal sector, and to contribute to the legal community as a whole. In October Senior Associates Ben Simons and Sam David wrote and recorded a webinar for Lexis Nexis entitled “Procedural CPR Update 2021”. Sam is also a contributor to Kemp and Kemp.

Earlier in the year Elizabeth Kinsey and Alex Stutt recorded two webinars for LexisNexis where they firstly explored how to make the most of a training contract, followed by a second webinar providing a personal account of the transition between being a trainee and a newly qualified solicitor.

Our Partners regularly write for various legal publications, for example Managing Partner David Marshall edits Jordans Law Practice and Precedents, and co-edits Jordan’s Personal Injury bulletin. Partners Jock Mackenzie, Jackie Spinks and Amanda Hopkins present various webinars to the expert witness community at Bond Solon. Jock is also a regular speaker at the Bond Solon annual “Expert Witness Conference”.

Partner Ali Malsher is a prolific writer and is often called upon by media outlets to provide commentary on matters relating to medical negligence and personal injury.

It’s worth bearing in mind that in addition to all of the above, and perhaps most significantly, it’s the technical legal expertise of the relatively small team, (when compared to their peers), that has earner them top band rankings in the legal directories, Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500.
